Needs analysis and app conception for a project management software by DELTA Netconsult.
Situation
DELTA Netconsult offers a comprehensive portfolio of IT services for companies in various industries. The company launched the Common Data Environment "Datapool", which ensures reliable data exchange and efficient communication in the execution of construction projects. The aim of the project was to identify the needs of Datapool users and new marketing opportunities, as well as to conceptualise initial designs for the mobile version of the programme.
Approach
In a needs analysis, six people working in the construction industry were interviewed about their experiences with Datapool and potential problem areas were identified. Building on this, icons developed a clear communication strategy with the help of a competitive analysis on social media marketing and the scalability of software-as-a-service products, which highlights the unique selling points of the programme. In a final step, the Datapool app was conceptualised.
Result
icons delivered concrete recommendations for action to present Datapool more advantageously and to address the previously identified customer needs. In addition, a detailed strategy for the successful launch of the Datapool app was drawn up. This involved both conceptualising the technology form and functionality of the app and analysing the product launch process in detail.
