Implementation of a strategy project in business development to increase the revenue potential of Generali Versicherungs AG.
Situation
Generali Versicherungs AG is the third-largest insurance group in Austria and employs around 4,900 people. To increase revenue potential, the company headquartered in Trieste wanted to identify new distribution channels and then analyse and evaluate them.
Approach
In close cooperation with Generali's internal task forces, icons conducted a market screening in Austria based on a six-stage filter process. This made it possible to create a shortlist of potential distribution options. This was examined in detail by means of a potential analysis.
Result
The market analysis resulted in a shortlist of possible distribution options, which were evaluated according to their strengths against internally defined criteria. By analysing the various options, the potential could be clearly prepared, illustrated and individual recommendations passed on to Generali Versicherungs AG.
